Some people still watch traditional linear TV, not just on demand streaming, so it would be pretty cool if the site could notify you if a show on your watching/planning/etc. lists are going to air this week on what channel and time so you can choose to watch or set it on your DVR to record.
Simply set a zip code and pick your provider (antenna/cable/satellite) and it could scan the listings once a week or two (with a manual refresh, likely time limited like the TMDB refresh to not overload the system, after all it’s not like TV channels are updating their listings every day even, it’s all scheduled out for weeks). It likely would surface as a toggleable filter for the calendar and weekly emails.
In addition, not sure if it’s as feasible as they likely don’t have their data as easily available, but you could also potentially add FAST streamers like Pluto or Tubi who have live channels as providers too. In this case, it also might help to allow multi-selection of providers since you can easily combine those with your existing antenna or cable.
