There seems to be a distinct divide in what people consider Watched and how that is represented in their progress and how their shows are categorized.
One camp only considers what is available to watch as their progress, and if they’ve watched everything that has aired, they consider their progress to be 100%, and the show to be watched.
The other camp considers any unaired (announced), episodes as part of the total progress of a show, no matter how far in the future they may be. (Even TBD) Thus a show in not Watched if there are outstanding episodes, which also means progress would not be 100% until they are.
I’m proposing a setting that would let users choose which way they want to track their progress. It maybe impossible because the two are fundamental different and I can’t see through all the ways it would change how the site works for both camps, but there seems like there should be a way to accommodate both.
